What?
Upper Floor Studio is participating in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Cal-Western Regional Auditions and Conference! This year the regional auditions are virtual and while that is certainly a change from years past, my plan is to make that weekend still feel pretty special and fun! These auditions provide students an opportunity to receive constructive feedback from many teachers in our region, attend master classes and lectures from some incredible voice teachers, a chance to appear in front of many other musicians and industry experts, and also a chance to earn scholarships and awards! Who?
We have 15 total audition slots as a studio (Ex. If you want to sing in MT and CCM that would count as 2 spots,) so we are limiting the total number of students to 10! Only 10 spots for students to attend the workshops, masterclasses, watch awesome performers, and supporting their fellow Upper Floorians.
Where / When?
The weekend conference is going to be ONLINE on January 15th-17th, and I’ll be sending out the schedule of online activities and a goodie bag for the weekend! The full itinerary is packed with activities, masterclasses, and workshops, but they haven’t released any of the speakers or schedule yet so you’ll just have to trust me! It’s always an excellent event! You don’t need to attend everything and I believe the content will be both synchronous and asynchronous. (Secretly I’m hoping it will also be nsynchronous… there are approximately three people who will appreciate that joke and I am here for it!)

November 29th 4-8pm: Zoom Master Class where we watch each other’s videos for feedback! It’s a blast and a great way to get more familiar with the recording process!
December 3rd at 10pm: Video audition submissions and registration are due to me!
January 15th-17th: Conference, Semi-Finals, and Finals!
Cost: $200 (As always, reach out if you want to participate but can’t make the funds work! We always find a way!)
