Contemporary Commercial music: Pop, Rock, Rap, Motown, Disco, and MORE!
This program is intended for students who want to expand their knowledge and repertoire of popular music! It’s part music history and part vocal technique (the history informs HOW you perform the pieces. Too cool!) Every day we’ll start with dance: hip hop, modern, jazz to put you in the mood to get groovy. Then dive into each era of popular music from the 1950’s until now! There will be a performance on the last day of the program for friends and family. I’m super stoked about this program and I hope you are too!
During the week we'll have several live FaceTime conversations with Broadway and Off-Broadway professional performers. Past guests include Laura Osnes, Nic Rouleau, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and many more!
