Acting Technique Intensive
This program is designed for high school students who want to delve into acting technique! Every day we will start with yoga to get our bodies and minds warmed up. Then we will jump into scene work and monologue work to apply different acting techniques and styles. We'll be studying Meisner, Stanislavsky, Viewpoints, Adler, Hagen, and more!
In the past, UFS summer programs have always had a vocal component. This is the first time where there will not be a singing component to a summer program, but we will be looking into Linklater vocal exercises to further develop our voices as instruments of communication. Many of you have said you struggle with bringing your music to life and I sincerely hope that you'll join us to develop those skills. This program is guaranteed to be challenging and some outside reading will be required.
Every week, we'll have several live FaceTime conversations with Broadway and Off-Broadway professional performers. Past guests include Laura Osnes, Nic Rouleau, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and many more!
